Sports Club Analytics Platform
A comprehensive platform designed for sports clubs to track member activities, manage team plans, and analyze performance through data-driven insights—fostering both individual achievement and team success.
The project focused on UI/UX design for a startup creating modern tools that digitize and enhance how sports clubs manage their communities, replacing manual tracking with intelligent, automated systems.
Overview
The platform serves both club members and administrators, providing members with personal activity tracking and progress visualization while giving club managers powerful analytics tools for understanding team performance, engagement patterns, and program effectiveness.
Members can log workouts, track personal records, set goals, and see how their activities contribute to team objectives. Coaches and administrators access dashboards showing aggregate statistics, member engagement levels, training load distributions, and attendance patterns—enabling data-informed decisions about programming, coaching strategies, and member retention efforts.

Technical Details
The design system accommodates two distinct user experiences—members focused on personal achievement and admins seeking operational insights—while maintaining visual consistency and shared navigation patterns.
The member experience emphasizes motivation and progress. Personal dashboards display recent activities, achievement badges, progress toward goals, and team standings in visually engaging formats. Activity logging is streamlined with quick-entry options, templates for common workouts, and smart defaults that reduce input friction. The design encourages regular engagement through gamification elements, social features (team leaderboards, activity feeds), and progress visualization that celebrates improvement.
The administrative interface prioritizes data density and analytical depth. Dashboards present key metrics at a glance—total member activities, engagement rates, attendance trends, popular programs—with drill-down capabilities for detailed analysis. Data visualizations employ charts, graphs, and heat maps appropriate for each metric type, making complex data interpretable at a glance.
Team management tools allow coaches to create training plans, assign workouts to individuals or groups, set team goals, and track compliance. The design supports flexible team structures (squads, age groups, skill levels) and hierarchical permissions, accommodating diverse club organizational models.
The calendar interface consolidates personal workouts, team training sessions, events, and competitions into unified views with filtering options. Color coding and visual density controls help users navigate complex schedules without overwhelming them.
Activity tracking supports diverse sport types and metrics—running (distance, pace, heart rate), strength training (sets, reps, weight), skill work (drills completed, technique scores), and general participation (attendance, hours). The design accommodates this variety through flexible data entry forms that adapt based on activity type.
The responsive design ensures members can log activities from mobile devices immediately post-workout while administrators access analytical tools effectively on desktop. Mobile layouts prioritize quick logging and social features; desktop layouts leverage screen space for comprehensive analytics and administrative tasks.

Outcome
The platform design successfully addresses the needs of modern sports clubs seeking to increase member engagement and improve program effectiveness through data-driven insights.
The member-facing interface received positive feedback for its motivational design elements and ease of use, with activity logging designed to be fast enough that members actually use it consistently—the key to collecting meaningful data. Gamification elements and social features tap into competitive motivation common among athletes.
The administrative analytics provide club managers with unprecedented visibility into member engagement, program effectiveness, and team performance patterns. The data visualizations make complex information accessible, enabling coaches and administrators to make informed decisions about programming, coaching interventions, and resource allocation.
The platform design demonstrates how thoughtful UX can transform routine activity logging from administrative burden into engaging experience, while simultaneously providing coaches and administrators with actionable insights that improve club operations and member outcomes. The dual-audience design successfully serves both individual members seeking personal improvement and administrators focused on organizational success.
